The Fly-In Dining experiences consists of 3 locations to choose from:

• The Tides Inn - Irvington, VA

• Cape Charles, VA

• Portsmouth, VA

When booking, you specify the following:

1. Desired location

2. Desired date & time

3. Desired return time

It can accommodate up to 4 passengers.

This depends on your desired return time!

Yes, when booking your experience, you would also book your return flight in the same booking process under “Fly-In Dine - Return” and it is free if it is within 2 hours from initial departure as we remain on standby.

Any time chosen beyond 2 hours from initial departure, is priced at their original respective prices per location.

At The Tides Inn, their culinary program is guided by the rhythms of the Chesapeake region: its waters, its fields, and the traditions of its watermen and farmers. Under the direction of Chef Kyle Perkins, ingredients from our on-property farm and surrounding waters inspire menus that feel both rooted and refined, where thoughtful technique meets the freshness of the season.  Here, each meal becomes an essential part of your time along the water.

A hidden gem on Virginia's eastern shore. Discover delightful downtown, filled with quaint restaurants and unique shops. Enjoy fresh seafood and waterfront views at The Shanty, or stroll along Mason Avenue to explore eclectic boutiques and specialty stores offering handcrafted jewelry and artisanal goods.

Fly directly to our seaplane base at the Tidewater Yacht Marina for an unforgettable waterfront dining experience. Located right on the Elizabeth River, Fish n Slips offers stunning marina views and delicious seafood, including their famous crab cakes.

Smithfield Station: A waterfront inn, marina and restaurant on the Pagan River in historic Smithfield. Dine on fresh seafood, crab cakes and the town's famous Smithfield ham, then walk into the Historic District to explore art galleries and specialty shops.

Surry Seafood Co.: A riverfront restaurant and marina tucked along Gray's Creek. Enjoy Virginia oysters served raw, steamed or Rockefeller, house crab cakes and handcrafted cocktails in a relaxed setting built around the water.

The Hatchery: An open-air oyster eatery on the historic Callis Wharf overlooking Milford Haven. Oysters from a rotating lineup of regional farms, served fresh, fried and roasted at the oyster bar.

Decoys Seafood: A waterfront restaurant at Bennett's Creek Marina. Crab dip, crab cakes and the seafood boil inside, or handcrafted cocktails and live music outside at the Blind Duck Tiki Bar.

Experience & Adventure Flight changes made up until (72) hours prior may be made without penalty. In the event of Experience & Adventure Flight cancellations made up until (72) hours prior to departure, a booking credit is retained for future use within (18) months. Changes or cancellation made within (72) hours prior to flight departure are subject to full forfeiture of the fare.

You can add a scenic aerial tour to the beginning or end of your Fly-In Dining experience.

It’s the same flight, just with a few extra miles of beauty. We'll take the long way around, over barrier islands, lighthouses, or winding rivers, depending on your departure point.
