Take to the skies on a 60-minute seaplane flight for up to FOUR passengers departing from the dock at The Tides Inn and following Carters Creek out to the Rappahannock. The Northern Neck is a landscape of fingers and inlets, and in October the tree lines that separate each creek from the next turn all at once. From the air you see the shape of it: color running along every shoreline, farm fields still green between them, and the wide grey Rappahannock cutting straight through the middle. This is the Northern Neck at its best, and it lasts a few weeks.
